Why a G8 is a better GTO
than the 2004-2006 GTO.
Yes, I know from the start, it was a two door. But, as at~114" wheelbase, the G8 dynamically comes closer to the ~114" wheelbase of 1960's GTO's. In spirit too. The original GTO spirit was taking a boring sedan and making it into an exciting one. A G8 can easily fulfill that ambition. In 1994 GM also used a ~114" wheelbase car for their SS. Even the 2014 Chevy SS was, of course.
