I have the G8 Gt with the "Summer Only" PKG and live in Eastern KY. I have been reading that once it gets to 30 degrees or below that these are not going to work well. Anyone had winter experience with these tires yet? If I do need to get an all season, what is the best suggestion for the 19" rims I have as if I need to get the better tires, I may just buy a new set of rims for my summer use and put the Summer only tires on those and just change them with the seasons.

"Summer Only" does mean "Summer Only", no ice or snow, period and poor wet traction once the temp drops. That is probably one of the reasons for the running change this month of making a A/S tire standard with the Sport Package and your current tires optional. One option is to score a set of 18" OEM A/S with rims, several have been available every so often. (they are same overall diameter and will not affect speedo). Another option is a great option considering the price of 19" tires - if you hurry, some of the tire places have 19" Goodyear RS-A (same tire as OEM 18 but in 19 size) for less than $100 each! Grab a set of those, even if there are better tires out there they will be 2.5-3 times as much. At that price you can afford a nice set of rims.

For 19" tires Goodyear Eagle GTs have a 50,000 miles warranty and are all season. That will probably be the best combo of value, winter driving, and performance without changing rims. They are also made in the USA too.
