Thank you for the follow-up. I will have to do some internet research on this myself. I had heard that there was supposed to be a Hurst Edition G8 from a number of reputable national sources, but then information dried up when it was announced that Pontiac was going away. Originally the Hurst Edition G8s were supposed to be 2010 models, and there is no 2010 Pontiac G8.
I have known of Choo Choo Customs for years, and know of some of their other projects (El Camino SS for Chevy, etc). When I try to do an internet search on them, I can't seem to find a website to consult though.
It is curious that you mention that the GTX and the Hurst G8 both came from Choo Choo Customs. I suspect that Choo Choo was going to do these cars for Hurst, and it sounds like they actually built some too. Then when Pontiac got killed off (which effectively killed off the 2010 Hurst Edition G8), they likely used the GTX package as a way to use up their stockpile of parts.
I would really love to see pictures of your car, especially close-ups of emblems, etc that make it different from the regular G8. Your's is the first G8 GTX that I have heard of, and I bet others in the G8 community would also be interested in it.
I bet you have an even more unique vehicle than you were told originally, although how that impacts it's value is hard to say. I bet they originally planned to build 130 of them, but I doubt that they built all of them, or there would have been word of them trickling out by now. Too bad you didn't get pictures of the White Hurst Edition G8 too, because only artist renderings of them have been published so far.
I am betting that your GTX package has a special cold-air intake and tune that bump it up from it's stock 360 HP rating, and I fully believe the custom suspension.
It would be awesome if you were able to bring your car to the National G8 Meet this year. It would really turn alot of heads and bring up ALOT of questions. Congrats on the rare find!
