CAI, a few GRRRR8 mods that are free, etc... Between this board and a couple others out there, you can get all kind of ideas. Just search mods! Congrats and enjoy! Chad
Hello Everyone.
Just brought home a new Silver G8 GT yesterday and have had nothing but fun driving it. This thing shifts like its a manual, I love it.
Already investigating winter wheel/tire combos since I live in Minnesota and don't want to wreck my car the first year I own it. Saw a thread for 17" wheels with Winterforce tires from Tire Rack for under $1,000. This sounds like a good choice, any drawbacks/comments?
Have owned 3 Bonnevilles previously with the last one being a 2000 SSEi, which my son still drives. I wish my G8 had heads up display like that one does. Any way of utilizing the bluetooth for my mobile (I bought an early 09 that doesn't have it already)?
Only modification, so far, is a K&N air filter. Suggestions on other low cost improvements would be great?
Looking forward to hearing from you guys (and gals) about getting the most out of my new toy.
Thanks,
Bill
Supposedly increases power and gas mileage. I put one into my 2004 Durango with the 5.7L Hemi and get about 3 miles per gallon improvement. Not sure what I'll get from it in the G8 since I never really got a baseline, but figured it couldn't hurt.Bill - whats the advantage of the K&N air filter? Also - I installed a cargo mat today from Lloyds.com (thru CarID site). Put in coupon code "Forums" for 10% off. It fits perfectly and is half the price of the weathertech variety. Has little pockets to catch liquids and prevent them from rolling around. Since your in snow you might want this cheap addition. Mine cost $60 delivered, available in black , grey or tan. Ghostman.
