Hi everyone!

Got a silver GT last week. It has almost everything I could want. Here's my thoughts after 7 days and a few hundred miles...

The good:
- Looks great
- Quiet
- Comfortable
- Lots of get-up-and-go
- Handles great

The not so good:
- The A/C and audio controls are still confusing.
- I got an early '09, so no Bluetooth. I am reading the threads on retrofitting the newer On-Star box.
- No moonroof / sunroof
- The only cars in the area were silver or liquid red. We got silver because my wife hated the liquid red. I now have 3 silver cars.
- I think I already have an issue with the suspension. I ran over a small pothole (not enough that it should have caused any kind of problem), and the car made a loud clunk. Since then, its still quiet on smooth roads, but the road noise over rough road is louder.

Congrats on the new G8 GT..

Both the silver and the liquid red are awesome color choices..

I'd say the cold weather is probably why you got a loud clunk..

enjoy what seems to be the best value for a V8 rwd sports sedan.

Any chance you can share with us what you paid?
Welcome and enjoy your great new vehicle.

Watch for those North Eastern roads. Low profile tires do not take potholes very well at all. I lost a wheel and damaged another one to a highway pothole in September. Almost two grand later I have two new rims, one repaired rim, and five new tires.
Thanks for the welcome!

The car is almost fully loaded. About the only option it doesn't have is the sunroof. It is Maverick Silver Metallic, with the Onyx leather interior and the premium and sport packages.

MSRP was $34,155. I bought it using GMS pricing for $31,800 and took the $3,500 rebate, lowering it to $28.3K. I asked the dealer about the $4,500 rebate on the Pontiac website (it says its for the "oldest" '09 models), but the dealer said this car was too new. Now that I've found out it isn't a "2009.5", I think that maybe I should have gotten the extra $1000.

That is equipped exactly like mine except for the color. Mine is Sport Red Metallic. I have picked up splashguards, rear object sensor package, bug deflector, and trunk liner since getting it.

I paid the same amount using GM military discount and took 0% financing. $1000 off with GM card and a small trade-in on my 2006 Buick LaCrosse CXS. I was only about $1200 above water when I made the deal.

No Bluetooth here either.
