I bought this Caprice not knowing its was the continued G8, built in another country.

Turns out Gm doesn't like to drop good ideas.

I am a police officer, and i Privately OWN the 2011 Caprice, It has the 6.0, L76, and over sized 6Speed Trans.

Looks and Feels just like the G8.

I have no idea how to insert images.. some reason its not working.

Congrats on the purchase. Your vehicle, the Caprice PPV, is actually based on the Holden Senator which is a slightly longer wheel-base car than the Holden Commodore that the G8 is based off of. It has even better rear seat room and a larger trunk. I have seen a few of these up close over the last few years, and they are pretty neat. enjoy yours! Any chance that you would be interested in bringing this car to the G8/GTO Owners iNternational Event in September in the Quad Cities? We are hoping to have some Caprice PPVs there, and if enough would show we might even create race and show classes for them. Check out g8gone.com - G8/GTO/Holden Owners iNternational Event - 2012 for details.

Congrats..
When, in the throes of bankruptcy, GM ditched its Pontiac brand, the G8 sedan went with it. The good news: That estimable car came back. The bad news: It’s only for cops.
The ’12 Caprice PPV (Police Patrol Vehicle) powerslides into an era of rare upheaval in the cop-car business. Ford’s Crown Victoria, the body-on-frame stalwart of taxicab and police-car duty, has ascended to that great 24-hour garage in the sky, providing new and exciting fleet-sales opportunities for such unconventional cherry tops as the front-drive Impala. The Caprice (along with the Dodge Charger Police Pursuit Vehicle) represents the segment’s recidivist tendencies: big V-8s up front, powered rear wheels.
