looking for production number
Just purchased a G8 GT today and am picking it up tomorrow(raining today). Would like to know if I can locate the production number within the VIN #.

Your "production number" is 9888814, which only means it is the 813th unit after 988001 to get a VIN. It does not mean that it was the 814th vehicle built although on the surface for all intents and purposes it is. It is one of only 888 vehicles to carry a 988XXX VIN and a dash plaque. Enjoy your new ride.
