I am brand spank'in new here. I bought a used 2009 Pontiac G8 V6 with all options. It has 12400 miles on in which isn't to bad considering it was purchased new 2 years ago. The vehicle is silver with black interior. I test drove 3 GT's and 3 V6's and decided on the 6 banger. Here's my question. The car has a coarse cackling sound coming from the exhaust. Having drove 3 of these I'm sure this is normal for this vehicle. Are the two small mufflers at the end of the exhaust system some sort of glass-pack or resonator? How do I quiet this down. I know it was done on purpose to give the car a "sporty" sound but I'm already tired of it. (Is my age starting to show?!?)
is the exhaust still stock from the cat back, mines a v6 and i dont have that mines really quiet, there should be 2 cats, then one big resonator, then 2 little resonators coming out of it then your 2 mufflers at the very end
