Why did they design the G8 with such a large A pillar

The large A pillar interferes with visibility especially when entering an intersection.

It appears that part of the reason why the A pillar is so large is because they built in an airbad into the A pillar. Why could they not have found another place for the airbag.

The G8 is a great car and it is sad to see that it is not being rebadged as a Chevy.

Yep I agree on the A-pillar. I almost had an accident pulling across an intersection because it blocked my view.

Now I always look fore and aft of the pillar to make sure I don't miss anything.
