Nope, just a hint of new car smell, but that's fading.

I know and enjoy the typical new car smell (smells like victory), but this is bad. I know 3 others who just picked up new G8's and they all complained about it too.

Does it almost smell like an electric melting plastic smell?

It smells like plastic melting. Or maybe like those old fashioned space heaters with those red coils? Mine just started to smell like that nine days ago. Very strange...
