Has anyone replaced the shift knob? How does it come off?

Try going to any pontiac dealer and ask them to give you a print out on how to change the shifter knob. There isnt a service manual out yet for the public. Dealers have the service manual on a cd.

Are the ones on ebay not actually G8 manuals?
