Talking Interior lights too dim at startup?

Hi all.
I tried searching for this and didn't find anything. So I thought I'd post this question.

I just purchased a G8 GT (White!) and I love it. One problem I have seems to be that in the morning when I start up the car, it seems that the interior lights (dash lights and center console screen brightness) are in "night" mode, and consequently I can't quite see the center console screen in the sun. Yesterday, after driving for about 5 minutes, something clicked and then the center console brightness went to normal.. But today morning that didn't happen.

I will try again tomorrow, but has anyone seen weirdness with the light sensor getting stuck in "night" mode causing the dash and the center console screen to dim in the middle of the day?

just curious.
thanks.

Started up the car this morning, and everything was ok. Wondering if its an intermitten issue with the Ambient Light Sensor? Anyone else have a problem with the ALS?
