Angry Day-Time running lights

I hate day-time running lights! On most of my previous cars that had day-time running lights there was a switch to shut them off. Have I missed something on my 09 G8? Anyone have a solution?:

Does the spring loaded rotation to the left that takes it from automatic to off not do the trick for you?

Yea it does turn them off but I have to do it every time I start the engine. It's not a problem for longer trips but it's kind of a pain for running arround town. There is also the principal, there is something about being able to make decisions for myself.

Just make sure you put the fuse back in if you ever have an accident where they might have helped prevent it, your insurance might frown upon inop DRL's...

You could create a quick and dirty on-off switch that is plugged into your fuse that will allow you to turn it off, but still enable it on the fly. You'll have to test where the lights automatically come on when you switch on while driving.
