G8 Pattern Orders and Vehicle Timing

G8 pattern orders available for tagging are pre-produced and already en
route to the US port in Northern California. The tagging process will help
to expedite vehicle delivery to dealerships and manage customer
expectations.

The time it takes a vehicle to arrive after being tagged on-line will vary
and may take approximately 8 to 14 weeks depending on the in-transit status
of the vehicle and where the dealership is located.

11 different G8 pattern orders may be tagged on-line at gminventory.com
against a dealer's monthly consensus volume. Patterns are based on past
dealer order studies to ensure desirable packaging and to better forecast G8
production volumes. Patterns may change in the future based on market
dynamics and dealer demand. Dealers will be advised accordingly.

Four (4) patterns are available for the base G8 sedan and seven (7) for the
G8 GT. Please note that there may be some variation from these patterns for
a small percentage of vehicles available early on due to ramp-up
requirements. Patterns are available in most colors and trim levels in
quantities based on the dealer order studies. Please note that Stealth Blue
Metallic (25U) will have late availability in the model year and sunroof
(CF5) will be limited to approximately 30% on G8 GT orders.

For the G8 Sedan (base), four (4) pattern orders are available for tagging
as follows:

a.. Pattern #1 - Base G8 with no options.
b.. Pattern #2 - Base G8 with Comfort and Sound Package (PDD) and sunroof
(CF5).
c.. Pattern #3 - Base G8 with Premium (PCQ) and Comfort & Sound (PDD)
Packages.
d.. Pattern #4 - Base G8 with Premium Package (PCQ), Comfort and Sound
Package (PDD) and sunroof (CF5).
For the G8 GT, seven (7) pattern orders are available for tagging as
follows:

a.. Pattern #1 - GT with no options.
b.. Pattern #2 - GT with 18-inch all-season tires (QFX).
c.. Pattern #3 - GT with Premium Package (PCQ) and sunroof (CF5).
d.. Pattern #4 - GT with Premium Package (PCQ) and 18-inch all-season
tires (QFX).
e.. Pattern #5 - GT with Premium Package (PCQ), sunroof (CF5) and 18-inch
all-season tires (QFX).
f.. Pattern #6 - GT with Premium (PCQ) and Sport (PDX) Packages.
g.. Pattern #7 - GT with Premium Package (PCQ), Sport Package (PDX) and
sunroof (CF5).

Tagging began January 31 through February 27 for the January consensus. Yesterday's reaction to the process was confusing to several dealers. This is a new procedure to many of them. The vehicles listed will be continually updated as cars are produced and/or scheduled for production. Approximately 1000 G8s were successfully tagged on this first day, about half of them the more powerful GT. Sunroofs and leather were the hot ticket.

It appears that the first shipments of vehicles are heavy on the base model. Despite the elusive Stealth Blue Metallic color being listed as a late arrival a handful of bare-bones stripped V6 models have arrived or are on their way in this color.

Customers are advised to be prepared with knowledge of RPO codes for the vehicle they want when they visit a dealership that has an open allocation. Familiarity with the actual inventory site won't hurt you either.
