Unhappy Problem with ESP

Anyone have trouble with ESP staying in the off position lit up on the display, no matter how many times I push the button it won't turn on. Suppose to reset itself everytime you start the car but mine all of a sudden quit working. I know that system works overtime keeping the car hooked up, I wonder if I wore it out, too much hot rodding possibly.

ESP seemingly fixed itself after several days, not sure what the cause was but it's working fine now.
