Default Please allow me to introduce myself (I'm a man of wealth and taste)

otherwise I wouldn't own an early 2006 Solstice (Cool) named Merlin

many of you may recognize the name already..(I forget how long I have to wait to create an avatar...it's been sooooooooooo long)

anyhoo

trying to convert my son into a G8

he lives downunder and is very familiar with Holdens (and the Commodore)

trouble is..he's downunder for another 18 months..so an early '08 G8 is probably out of the question

me...I'm more interested in the UTE...but there doesn't seem to be a "uteforum.com" yet...so maybe i'll get some answers over here

anyway...I am welcoming myself to your party

Exactly...the holden truck is known as the VE SS

they are just re-badging it and changing the front end the the Pontiac split grill
they kept the tight suspension from the SS

Oh and not meaning to rain on D2's parade (we know each other and harrass each other on a regular basis so the above post is all foolin)...

I too am interested in the G8. I currently have a fully loaded 2004 GP GTP w/ the Competition Group and a 2006 Solstice...got my Solstice a few week's after D2 got his, but somehow...mine was built a few days before!

Anyway, the G8 will most likely be my next purchase when I beat my GP to death. The thing I like and don't like about the G8 is it's rear wheel drive. I'm wondering how well it will handle in the snow and ice as I've been extremely impressed with my GP. It's the best car I've ever owned in that regard.

And now...back to Dino's thread!

Too late, somebody left the gate open and now all the horses are out.

The balance of the G8 is almost as good as the Solstice 51/49 without driver. I've spent two winters (Great Lakes' winters, mind you) tooling around in a 2wd Colorado with nothing but a/s tires, lsd, and t/c, oh and no extra weight in te hbed to balance it out. I get around tons better than my son in his CTS w/o lsd. I think you will be surprised and impressed. Just don't count on summer tires for winter.

Back to D2.

Then Dino and I are missing something...when I go to change mine, I don't have that option. Only the option to not use and avatar appears. It doesn't let me unclick it either. Is there somewhere else we should be going to change the avatar?
