Talking ::one Extreme To Another::

Hi All,

I am a proud owner of a 2009 Liquid Red Pontiac G8 GT!!! It's my first domestic car I have ever owned. Although it was built in Australia (Cricket Champs!) but it's still an American brand car. I have only owned Japanese cars and small ones at that like the Honda CRX SiR, Toyota Yaris, Subaru WRX Wagon, Honda Accord, and Honda Civic. I looked for true muscle in all the wrong places and my cousins in West Palm Beach made me realize I was wasting time trying to get any kind of power out of a small 4 cylinder. By the way they are all muscle car heads. Marvin (Z06), Alvin (Charger SRT8), Steve (300 SRT8), and Richie (Buick GN).

The last car I owned was a 2007 Honda Civic LX, painfully slow but great gas mileage. I was getting about 38 - 40 miles to the gallon with that car. That was with a K&N drop in air filter which probably didn't help it a whole lot but it was part of the setup. I have to say the only thing I thought I would miss was the gas milage. But when I stepped into the Pontiac G8 GT, I couldn't go back. This car is awsome and I get 28 miles to the gallon when I drive conservatively. I averaged coming home today 27.3 miles to the gallon and if I drive hard I get about 19.9 miles to the gallon. My cousins with the big Hemi get 18 miles to the gallon on there best days. So that says something for this L76 setup and a beautiful one it is!

I will miss this kind of value in a muscle car package offered by GM with the Pontiac brand but I really hope GM is able to keep this kind of excitment alive. I will always be a customer if they can, wow I can't believe I own this car!!!

Congrats. Continue to drive it proudly. One day you will look back and be happy you got your hands on one of the best of the breed.

I have never owned an import besides the wifes cars. A Jetta and now a Saab. Gotta love domestic vehicles. Honda, Toyota, Nissan do NOTHING for me.
