Default No GPS or XM?

Please don't get me wrong about this post as I have been waiting and biting at the bit for the G8. Heck I even paid $8 to take the subway to get to the Auto show in DC then paid again to go into the auto show only to see the G8 and ask the reps a few questions and to get some fliers on the car (which by the way they didn't have) , oh yea and paid again to park my car at the metro station parking lot. All just to go to see this one car in person.
I like the look, the feel, the room, the V8 & rear wheel drive, heck I like 97% of the car! However after sitting in the car and talking to the salesmen at my local Pontiac dealership, I am disappointed in the lack of 4 of the "creature comforts" that even the Grand Prix comes with. The first is No XM, come on it is supposed to be a GM vehicle right. The second is No GPS, ok I know that shouldn't be a big deal but it already has a screen in the console, why not have a system that displays more than AM and FM... Let's add the XM and GPS to it; they already add On-Star in Australia. And the last 2 and really not the most important but since I am listing things that I personally saw, Heads up display and why not add a memory seat configuration, you know for more that one driver.
Are these items going to be an option at a later time, this year or next year?
I was ready to get away from my current car for the G8 but I am now debating the issue of what type of car again.
Thanks and any input of what to look forward to would be greatful!

I am glad you said this. I thought the screen was nav. Now I have to buy a stupid headunit for it. Oh well. I hate XM anyways. You could always grab a kenwood 7100 and put it in the place of the screen. Then you have nav and the option to add Sirius or XM. You would also be getting a much better nav than GM is going to give you.

Yeah, you arent missing much with the XM. It stinks that they didnt put Nav in Stock. Everyone is putting Nav in as stock. Is it not optional?

No nav option yet. XM and bluetooth will become standard on 2009's. Memory seats would be nice, but not a deal breaker. I'll have to review if eth GXP gets them. Lack of HUD is the worst item for me, but nothing other than Corvette and outgoing GP have it, so I'll survive.

JHP are working on the genuine GM blue tooth(Holden Commodore blue tooth) to suit the 2008 G8, will know more in the next 2 weeks.
There is talk about removing the silly red oil & volt gauge and adding a GPS touch screen in its position with a different facia that will accomodate a common size GPS.
