I finally will need to replace my OEM tires on my 2009 G8 GT with the 19" wheels. I have been to Tire Rack looking at reviews but they aren't helpful. Lookig for real world success stories on summer only performance tires that won't "break the bank".

You might want to look at discounttire.com- I'll need to replace my Bridgestones in a few months and am thinking about the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. I've never had a set of Continentals on a car- only a motorcycle several years ago. These look like they are getting mostly good customer reviews.
I just had the Continental Extreme Contact DSW's installed on my '09 GT at Discount Tire. They are a ultra high performance all season. Seem to be as sticky as the Bridgestones, but have a 45K mile warranty. At $215 a tire, it is hard to beat.
