Exclamation Need help with details on changing Cabin air filter

So I recently got my windshield replaced because of some ***hole speeding through the median kicking up rocks on the freeway, and the guys at the shop glued the windshield to the cowling all the way around the windshield. Someone told me this cowling has to be removed in order to change the cabin air filter so im kind of pissed off about all of this and looking for some kind of confirmation as to whether that is true or not. Anyone experienced in this area of the car that can give me a detailed step by step process of changing the cabin air filter?

I really need to confirm this so I can take the evidence back to the store owner to confront them about the poor work.

I don't personally know about the cabin filter but I work in a body shop and know that the windshield should only make contact with the pinch-weld around it to make it structurally supportive in case of an accident. If they didn't do it right that's enough to take it back and make them do it right, it's freaking simple. I would double check that it's wrong just to save the embarrassment if your wrong.
