Default G8 LSX454 conversion

I just ourchased a 2009 Pontiac G8, yes the V6 version because I am wanting to drop an LSX454 Crate motor into it. Im thinking about getting rid of some of the electronic componets and putting it back to a 680 cfm Carborated system. would that be a good idea in a new car like this or would it be better to keep it as FI? I am used to working on older cars as I have 6 GTO's ranging from 1966-1973. What are your thoughts?

I don't know what the laws are in WA, but most states won't allow you to "revert" a car back to older emissions technology and still register and drive it on the highway. Any conversion can be done for the right amount of money, but you have to decide if the conversion you are considering is worth the time and money. Unless you are going to use this car as a pure racecar, I would discourage you from going carburated instead of fuel injected. Fuel Injection is a far more efficient way to "feed" an engine. Just my two cents, and good luck with whatever route you choose. Post pics of your progress!

check out the holden commodore(G8) W427, basicly a z06 motor mated to a typical six speed manual. i dont know your budget but this would be a wild set up with a little fabrication

while were at it.... can someone explain to me why the vauxhall vx r8 (g8) gets 414hp out of their 6.0l's and they come in a manual? (see top gear video on youtube)

american imports are just like cell phones... we get the good stuff after its a few yrs old over there
