Potential new owner in NC

Hello forum members. Just wanted to introduce myself and thank the current members for all their posted information.

I am in the market for a new ride and I have been coveting the G8 since I first startes reading about it. I currently drive an '04 Infiniti G35 and am seriously considering giving GM another chance. I haven't owned an American car since about 1983 and I really on the fence about the "new" GM.

Anyway, I'll keep reading the posts and get my mind made up soon. How about some advice from seasoned members on what the major problems have been with the G8 and how their ownership experience has been so far? I really want to "buy American" with my next vehicle but to be honest about it, I am a little nervous about it.

Talk me into this people! I need a V8!

I'm also a new member, just purchased the G8 a few weeks ago - nothing but pure power and great looks and all for $27500 fully loaded - what a steal. Its gets 26MPG on the Highway when you want to coast.

If you are dead-set against owning an American car then the Australian designed, engineered, and built Pontiac G8 GT IS the car for you.

If you are pro-American and want to support GM then buying the G8 will help steer GM back on track.

If you think current American vehicle quality is no better than 1983 then you haven't given the US auto industry the look it deserves
