Way to go guys. I've had mine for only 3 weeks and I seriously cant believe the experience it gives. It is the best looking car out there with the performance to boot. Congrats and enjoy life at the fullest.
Congrats to all of you!..I've had mine since September, and like nbaparks wrote, I don't usually get excited about the cars I drive..not so this one! I absolutely LOVE my G8! I am curious of one thing, tho'..do any of you have "climate control"? I don't. My remote starter won't turn on the heat/defroster without it. Trying to find a way to bypass it...I've been trying to get info out of GM, nothing so far...I've posted a question to this forum, (I'm new here, joined yesterday), but I can't seem to find any answers...any of you know anything about this?
Any of you want to divulge how much you paid for your car (out the door)? I haven't bought one yet, but seems some dealerships advertise "market prices" and many of those seem quite high. The car will have a few miles on it, so it doesn't sell for new, so then you don't get the rebate. I'm looking at GT's and GXP's. and the prices posted for many G8's on the lots, seem pretty steep.

Not sure the BB allows $ discussions but I don't see the harm in it...
I have a Base G8 (couldn't find any new GT's) with Sunroof and Convenience Package MSRP $30,570.00.
Because of all the rebates, and the fact that new cars were all but gone by Jan 4,2010, I was only able to get his price down to $29,779.00 (Internet Price). But I had $7500.00 in rebates. Add on to that about $100.00 of NY taxes and temp registration and later in Ct 6% Sales Tax (on the 29,779 value) and ~$100.00 in plate transfers\reg. I'll leave the final value to your calculator.
I thought it was a good deal, that's why I bought it (new car with 160 miles on it for the price of a 1 year old car with 15K miles)

I got my 09 G8 GT with all packages, sunroof, leather, 19 inch rims with 5500 miles for $23,750. I got it used from a private seller who just bought too much car. Paid cash - been saving for years. I really think I got an amazing deal. The sticker was $35k.
Dealer was asking 27900 got them down to 24100. They said they took a 44 dollar loss on it. But it's a 2009 with 12k on it. Fully loaded no sunroof. I got a ticket the first day I got it. Go me!
Got my '09 G8GT in Oct. for 29,200. w/ sport package and sunrrof. Had about 6K on it. Had the dealer throw in a different set of aftermarket 19" rims though.

i got my GXP on 2/28 ,aggressively priced to make their "month" it had 12k and i got it for $28,900. called them to ask about the price and the sales manager was like "its the end of the month, are really interested in this car, cuz i'll make worth your time to look at it" i hung up the phone and drove down there that evening and got it.
on the avg every other GXP i looked was no cheaper than $36K with same miles.
