just picked up our blk 6m GXP, ever since our mother in law got her g8gt we knew we had to get one of these cars, besides a car seat n a trans am just wont cut it.

Congrats on the great car, and welcome to the site! If you can let me know the interior color, and if it has a sunroof, I can add you to the International GXP Registry that I am compiling. I have verified over 1/4 of all GXPs produced so far, and I want to keep that number going until we can get official numbers from GM.

Thank you for getting back to me on that, sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. The total GXP production is 1,829 (apparently GM kept 1 and never released it for sale, so that's where they get 1,828+1). I have now verified over 500 GXPs, and right now about 55% of production is M6 cars. I have seen reports that said that only 800 M6 GXPs were built, but I'm not sure of the source of that info. We won't know for sure until official numbers come out from GM, and they aren't letting then get released. I have expanded the info I am gathering on the registry now. Since there are a number of GXPs changing hands, using the last 6 of the VIN is the only way to keep an accurate count. Would you be willing to share that with me by PM or email? I will not link any person's name or screenname to a particular VIN to maintain privacy. I just want to compile as accurate of a Registry as possible and share it with the GXP community at large. I tried to pull up their website info on these with no luck. To add them to the list I need last 6 of VIN, color, transmission, interior color, and sunroof status. Any chance you can find that out for me? I would be very greatful. If anyone else runs across a GXP and get get these stats to update the registry I would also be very greatful!
