Comes down to this:
~$7-8K more for the GXP (Price plus Gas Guzzler Tax)
Mileage HWY IMHO will be lucky to get 22 mpg.
GXP has higher rear end ratio (tranny is same), and no AFM. Mileage in the city will be even worse than the GT.
Now at the track (dragstrip or roadrace etc.) GXP will outshine the GT. Decide if having that race capability is worth the extra price, extra insurance and probably $30-50 month in gas (say 12K miles a year).
I am having the same debate and haven't decided yet, but leaning toward the GT..just works better for Daily use. For me GXP price will play a factor as well.
