Red face The G8 Powerplant

The Cylinder Deactivation took me for a spin I guess.... yes the G8 is heavier and the powerplant delivers bigger HP numbers than that Trans Am..... Guess I was gullible from the fact that it would give way better MPG than its predecessor based on technology.

24 mpg at 70 mph does not reflect cylinder deactivation to me. I'm thinking if the vehicle is running on 4, it would get a nice 30 miles. I don't know... I don't know why I even thought that. The cylinder de was a big buying point to me.

There is no need to say.... I paid off the G8 upon purchase.... I have a bank account that can pay for a Mercedes AMG, Lexus F, a Viper, Ferrari or even a Lamborghini and pay it off on purchase.... but it doesn't mean I would for it's not a smart purchase. I don't have the money I do by throwing it out the door for whatever. Smart buy and smart purchases will increase your bank account for other necessities in life. This is what I'm getting at in this thread.

Some people rather throw all their money into the vehicle and monthly payments..... where some other can just write a complete check for the vehicle. Which would you like to be is based on how you utilize your budget.

I better get one of those Tesla. I heard they give 122 per gallon! hahahah Problem is they are 2 seater, no trunk, and cost $90,000. Best part is that it 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. Ouch!

My hesitation comes from the 2009 release of the GXP sedan...
