I received a Federal income tax guide in the mail today which stated that the state sales tax attributable to the first $49,500 of the purchase price is deductable on cars, light trucks, motor homes or motorcycles purchased after Feb. 17, 2009 and before Jan. 1, 2010. The deduction is phased out for married filing joint with adjusted income around 250k or singles at 125k. Hope this helps. Talk to your tax pro and get some $$$ back.
